About Persephone

She/They

Persephone is a props artisan, manager, and designer based in Chicago, IL. They first fell in love with the Chicago theater scene as a young professional working in the Steppenwolf Professional Leadership Program as the Properties Shop Apprentice for the 2017/2018 season. Since then, they have worked in Chicagoland as Assistant Properties Supervisors at Court Theatre and Lookingglass Theatre Company, as well as Properties Coordinators at The Paramount Theatre in Aurora and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Persephone has continued to work across the country, including as Properties Supervisor at Creede Repertory Theatre in her home state of Colorado. Other prop credits include Shattered Globe Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, First Floor Theatre, Williams Street Repertory, Music Theatre Wichita, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, and Little Theatre of the Rockies among others. Persephone studied technical theater at the University of Northern Colorado and is currently a proud member of the Society for Properties Managers.
